History Puxada de Rede

The pulled ritual of net, executed artisticaly for diverses groups of capoeira of Brazil, it portraies and, it synthesize fishing with net, of the known fish ‘Xaréu', which meat become gloomy, abundant in the northeast coast of Brazil. It´s a episode of arduous work, tiring butall work of the bahian black people, it´s tempered with much poetry, religious, music and festivity.

Every year, the net pulled repeats with some cerimonials, with the some rituals of the times of long ago. a tradition which never dies, because on it a hundreds of families depends of this substence. Force, power and vitality of bodies goes showing with all ‘pujança' in the arduous work of fishing. However, the some fishing is rocking by sing, sometimes glad and cometimes sad thar evoke protective entities.

The ritual is also rocking by the strokes of ‘atabaques', for hte bodies as dance moving as sincrony, carrying through more a rewarding task that mixes sacrifice, festivity and pleasure.
